Discover the Power of Essential Oils
Essential oils capture the aromatic compounds of plants in a highly concentrated form. Their aromas can be remarkably powerful—sometimes a familiar scent can immediately bring back a person, place, or memory from years ago.
This connection between plants, aroma, and the senses is part of what makes aromatherapy such a fascinating area of natural health study.
Essential oils are highly concentrated substances and should be used with knowledge and respect. Learning aromatherapy involves more than simply choosing an oil because it smells pleasant. Students need to understand the properties of individual oils, appropriate methods of use, dilution, safety precautions, and the circumstances in which particular oils should be avoided.
In this course, students will become familiar with commonly used essential oils and learn practical ways to incorporate them into the home and personal wellness routines. You will also learn how to prepare selected blends and formulas for personal and household use.
The emphasis is on developing a practical understanding of essential oils so they can be used thoughtfully, safely, and confidently.
