LookingIntoIris

Iridology has many definitions, but “the study of the iris of the eye” seems to be acceptable to all. For traditional iridologists, it becomes clear that iridology is multifaceted, and we realize that there is much more to know and to learn in research to come about the mental and emotional and spiritual aspects. The lexicon of iridology is constantly changing, as we accept the terms “Constitutional Iridology” or “Integrated Iridology” just as the medical field is accepting

“Integrative Medicine.”SIHA promotes an integrated form of iridology and is up to date on all of the latest research in the field. We also offer classes from Beginning to Advanced Certifications.
A more holistic approach might add that the iris reflects the inner person, in all of his or her aspects – that includes not only the body but the emotions, mind, and even the spirit. Anyone who studies and practices iridology for a while, witnesses the beauty and wisdom of the human body along with inherent patterns (vibrations) influenced by the past, present, and future. Denny Johnson, originator of Rayid, once said,” The iris shows the dynamic field of living consciousness that is not only the map of the internal body, but a map of layers of vibrationally placed, mathematically perfect levels of consciousness around you that is designed to be your yolk and eggshell until the eternal “you” is capable of being born and flying away.”
Optimatrix broadens iridology to include the emotions (Energy Iridology—chakras), the personality (Rayid), the acquired stressors (Sclerology) and the time line of your life (Time Risk). Using the Energy Iridology chart and discussing certain chakra issues during the initial session with a client can begin the healing immediately. Using breathwork, chakra balancing exercises or light therapy at the session will urge the person into balance.
All of us who use the eyes as a guide to a client’s innate health rely upon multiple modalities to evoke a healing… an integrated, balanced program which might include nutrition, herbs, essences, homeopathy, energy work, oils, etc. As Jack Tips says: “…I do not believe that one modality can ever reveal all because every modality is a translation of the body’s original text, and something is always lost in translation.” He goes on to say that it is…”absolutely essential that healers/practitioners should use three, independent views of a person to better understand the underlying causes of why the patient manifests a symptom which is simply the body crying out in distress at its inability to express balance (see Causations: Using Sclerology to Clarify Iridology.) Nutritional counseling, chiropractic adjustments, massage and cranial sacral work, acupuncture and movement are adjuncts to the iridologist’s findings and will further support healing. As even our allopathic medical physicians move away from a pure science model to the “art” of medicine, the study of the eye will gain in popularity as a non-invasive window into the patterns of emotional and physical wellness for each individual.
Iridologists who use iris and sclera analysis take case histories from clients, listen to their symptoms, if any, and try to access the origin of their problems. They then look into the eyes with a lighted magnifier or take photographs with a digital camera and immediately put it on the computer screen. Voila! The person can see his or her own beautiful eyes in full color and follow a basic map to understand some of the physical contributors to their problems. Different dots, rounded openings, dark streaks in the iris (colored part) or pointing red lines in the sclera (white part) offer clues to understanding a person’s inherent and acquired health. But what causes the imbalance is in question; could it be more behavior, and relationship imbalances than diet and exercise patterns.
Dr. Bill Caradonna said in an article “Absolute Holism”: When we just treat the symptoms sometimes they go away. While we think we have been successful, what we often have done is drive the issue deeper into the body, to be expressed elsewhere at a later time.”
